About me

Hey, I’m Sarah!

I’m a lover of Jesus and student of the Word. In 2022, I married my best friend and we have two sweet kiddos. When I’m not chasing them around the house or cooking meals, I enjoy sipping hot coffee, hiking with my people, journaling, and creating biblical resources. Whether it’s a YouTube video, free download, or chapter in my book, I hope you find encouragement to heal from the past, live fully in the present, and trust God with the future.

Read more of my story below and discover the heart behind what I do…

Is this you, too?

I thought following God meant figuring out His plan.

As a little girl, I loved solving mysteries. I couldn’t wait to read another epic, twisted tale of murder, deceit, and stolen artifacts. As often as I could, I crept through dark mansion halls with Sherlock Holmes and Scooby Doo, looking for clues that would lead me to the truth.

While fictional crimes are still an endless source of fun, out here in the real world, I do everything I can to avoid mystery. I want cold hard facts. No guessing. No wondering what’s next or what I’m supposed to be doing. Just tell me what to do, Lord, and I’ll do it!.

But life isn’t always so clear-cut, is it? We often have questions that seem to go unanswered…

  • What if I make the wrong decision?
  • What if I miss what God is trying to tell me?
  • What if I choose the wrong job, date the wrong person, turn down the wrong opportunity, or somehow step outside of His plan?
  • Am I dating the right person, should I take that job, and when will ______ happen?

Life can often seem like an unsolved mystery. While we seek clarity to know where we are “supposed” to be, sometimes God doesn’t give us all the answers. Instead, He invites us to trust Him.

I haven’t always been good at trusting God with life’s unknowns. I often thought I had to figure out His big plan and make it happen. By making all the “right” decisions and perfectly following God’s specific path for my life, I thought I would be walking in God’s will.

Only, I didn’t always know the “right” thing to do. God didn’t always tell me who to date, which job to take, or where to live. While I tried to discern God’s “perfect path,” signs and confirmations didn’t always come.

When God seemed silent, doors didn’t open the way I thought they would, or life turned out differently than I expected, I wondered if I made mistakes. Had I stepped out of God’s will?

I even wondered if I had made God angry by missing a step.

That is, until something shifted.

Through consistent Bible study, prayer, a women’s retreat, and biblical counseling, I slowly began unraveling the lies I had believed about God and His will. I began seeing Him not as someone who was constantly disappointed in me or required perfection, but who truly loved me—as imperfect as I am.

I began seeing God as my good Shepherd who faithfully guides me and my heavenly Father who deeply loves me—not because of what I do for Him but because of who He is. I also began seeing Him as my sovereign God who never misses a detail in my story and who turns everything for the good of those who love Him.

My part isn’t to know the whole story God is writing. It’s simply to be faithful on the page He is writing today.

This view of God changed everything, including how I approached careers, relationships, and the ordinary moments of life. I became free to trust God with my story rather than cowering in fear of making mistakes.

And that’s why I’m here.

My prayer is that these resources will help you live in freedom too. As we unravel the lies we may have believed about God and shift our view of Him to what is true, we will find peace, quiet trust, and hope for our journey with God.

Blessings,
